2025 could be the year of “GREAT RESET” in men sprinting for Jamaica. Kishane Thompson, Oblique Seville, Akeem Blake, Nishion Ebanks, and Bryan Levell, will compete to develop a “Big 3” in men sprinting. At this juncture, Kishane Thompson, Oblique Seville, and Akeem Blake are odds on favorite to get the Top Three (3) spots and produce a 1,2,3 result at World Athletics Championships (WAC) in September. Athletes are reminded to check Qualifying standards.

Kishane Thompson should exit participation in the 60m competition. There is nothing to be gained and he could get injured. MVP Track club would be well advised to encourage Kishane Thompson to focus on the 100m.
Fans think Kishane Thompson will run a time of 9.69 seconds for the 100m in 2025. Akeem Blake should produce a time of 9.80 seconds and Oblique Seville a time of 9.84 seconds. It does not appear that Kishane, Akeem, or Oblique are interested in competing in the 200m. That is unfortunate because traditionally sprinters also ran the 200m. As the season move forward we will determine if Nishion Ebanks can run the 200m well.

Nishion Ebanks ran an impressive 60m at the Central Hurdles Meet in a Race that Kishane Thompson won in a magnificent time of 6.48 seconds. However, it is still too early to project Nishion Ebanks true abilities. Nishion has a good chance of making the 4X100m Relay Team or be a replacement should there be an injury.

Bryan Levell is missing in action. Regardless 60m and 100m are not events in which he is expected to do well. Fans eagerly await his performances in the 200m. We believe that Bryan Levell might be able to run the 200m in about 19.72 seconds and the 100m in 9.94 seconds. My recollection is that Bryan Levell still needs to reconcile his mental approach to running the 200m event. When Bryan Levell is convinced that the 200m event is won in the first 100m he will be a much better competitor.

This group of Athletes, Kishane Thompson, Oblique Seville, and Akeem Blake has potential to develop into a “Big 3 Men” sprinting force. They will start slowly in 2025 and blossom into a dominant force by WAC 2025. All three men will need to revert to basics and reconstruct all phases of their 100m performance. Perish the thought of slow start, late Transition, and winning from behind. That approach is the recipe for 4th Place and agony of defeat in the 100m. There is no Dinner at the end of that path. For WAC 2025 Athletes need to bring their A-Game. There has never been a better time for a resurgence of Jamaica Male sprinting dominance. Fans are pleading for this eventuality.

“Big 3 Women” roster is still under re-construction. Tia Clayton is energized and roaring to go in 2025. Her sights are set on WAC 2025 and any day now she will run a 10.7X for the 100m. Fans eagerly anticipate Tia Clayton to challenge for a spot on the “Big 3” roster. Even if she fails to get a sold spot in 2025, we believe she will before Olympics 2028. Fans anxiously await information regarding Health status of the current “Big 3” – Elaine Thompson – Herah, Shelley Ann Fraser – Pryce, and Shericka Jackson. WAC is preparing Dinner to be served in September. Mirror on the wall which Athlete will be the hungriest of them all.

Sydney McLaughlin – Levrone, is expected to be competitive in the 400m Flat but she might not be performing in 2025 if this report is true. Marileidy Paulino should be a Factor in the 400m flat but Fans anticipate Nickisha Pryce will be capable of running sub 48.0 seconds for the event.

Nickisha Pryce will be favored to win most of the 400m competitions in 2025, assuming she had good Recovery after Paris – 2024. Tia Clayton should demonstrate much improvement in the 100m. Fans are unsure what to expect from Elaine Thompson – Herah, Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce and Shericka Jackson – “the Big 3” in 2025. It is possible that all three will decide to move on and live a life of Luxury. If Elaine Thompson Herah does not get her Achilles heel fixed, she will not perform at her best and will depart from the Sport.

Julien Alfred (Juju) took the Paris 2024 path to becoming an Olympian. Fans did not expect her to be ready before Los Angeles 2028. With that early arrival and sacrifice behind the scene, she made St. Lucia Proud. Julien Alfred (Juju) is aware that winning can become a habit. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. If Julien looks over shoulder in 2025 and sees no Jamaican challenging, then she will have a good season. However, Fans anticipate Tia Clayton to challenge. Having said that Julien Alfred (Juju) has unfinished business in the 200m. Physically she can run the event but she has to reconcile the mental.

When the spirited discussion between the JAAA and JOA concludes Athletes will receive their Just rewards and resources. Inclusive in this effort should be the rebuilding of “the Big 3” – Women sprinters. It is important that we do the same for the JAAA and JOA. Something is broken let’s fix it. Independent consultation might be necessary.

Team USA is ready for every event in Season – 2025. Even if a USA representative does not win, the performance will be acceptable. Moving forward the Team is very young and fans expect all members to be vying for participation in Olympics 2028 Los Angeles, California, USA.
Gabby Thomas will be challenged to find another event in which to participate. Perhaps she will try the 400mH or 400m flat in 2025. Fans are waiting to see what she chooses. As long as her choice is not the 100m or 100mH, fans will support her.
