The Olympic trials are over. The dust on the Track and Field in the Philippines, USA, and Jamaica is still settling. All three groups of Athletes are in Training camps fine tuning their skills in an effort to bring their A-Game to the spectacle that is Paris 2024 Olympics.
The Philippines team will focus on gymnastics, boxing, swimming, weight lifting, and Pole vault. There are many events in that mix to get multiple medals.

Paris 2024 Olympics will cover 45 Sports. There will be plenty of events to attend and numerous medals will be issued. There will be no medals for events resulting from an argument, incident, or accident. Fans are encouraged to check Pedigree at the Entrances. In essence, no violence.
USA and JAMAICA will engage in Athletic battle for Track and Field sprinting supremacy. Before Olympic Trials it appeared that USA had an edge in Sprinting. Like the Sand of an hour glass the granules are shifting and Jamaica is cautiously saying just wait a minute USA, not so fast. Let’s set the stage with lights and action.
Base on performances and team selections the following are expectations by Key events, Men and Women.
Men’s 100m – Fans see USA coming away with 2 medals but not necessarily the gold. Winning time should be about 9.65 seconds. Kishane Thompson, Noah Lyles, and Kenny Bednarek should leave with hardware. Oblique Seville could be a factor.
EUGENE, OREGON – JUNE 27: Kenny Bednarek competes in the first round of the men’s 200 meters on Day Seven of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Track & Field Trials at Hayward Field on June 27, 2024 in Eugene, Oregon. Women’s 100m – Fans see Julien Alfred, Shacarri Richardson, and Zoe Hobbs picking up hardware. Melissa Jefferson, Shelley Ann Fraser Pryce, and Shericka Jackson could be factors. Winning time should be about 10.70 seconds. Julien Alfred is aware that winning can become a habit. There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

Men’s 200m – Fans see “Kung Fu” Kenny winning. The results should include Kenny Bednarek, Noah Lyles, and Bryan Lavelle. Bryan Lavelle is a sportsman pick. If Shanieke can get Bryan Lavelle to clean up his first 100m he might surprise the world. Winning time should be about 19.43 seconds.

Women’s 200m – Fans believe Gabby Thomas, McKenzie Long, and Julien Alfred should pickup hardware. Shericka Jackson appears to be a factor but she is Human and might not bring her A-Game. You cannot run with a bad knee or heel.

Women’s 100m Hurdles – this event could be an Ackera Nugent vs. Masai Russell confrontation. These two STARS are rivals. They have competed multiple times before. This is the hardest event to pick top 3. Under duress fans will say Ackera Nugent, Masai Russell, and Danielle Williams should be top 3 and not necessarily in that order. Everyone else is a Factor. Whoever clears the 3rd hurdle first, wins the event. Winning time should be about 12.10 seconds.

Men’s 110m Hurdles – potentially a 1, 2, 3 finish for Jamaica, Rasheed Broadbell, Hansle Parchment, and Orlando Bennett. Having said that so cavalier, it might require Mr. Holloway to skip the contest. That is unlikely to happen if everyone is healthy. Suffice to say, Mr. Holloway will be a factor and a Force to reckon with. Winning time should be about 12.84 seconds.

Women’s 400m flat – this event will be competitive and exciting. Aaliyah Butler, Kendall Ellis, Alexis Holmes, MariLeidy Paulino, Nickisha Pryce, Sada Williams, Rhasidat Adeleke, and Natalia Kaczmarek will stage a battle. Nickisha Pryce will be a factor. Winning time should be about 48.4X seconds.

Men’s 400m flat – Matthew Hudson Smith, Quincy Hall, Michael Norman, Sean Bailey, Kirani James, and Steven Gardiner is expected to have strong competition in this event. Steven Gardiner will be a factor but he will have plenty of company in this contest. Winning time should be about 43.94 seconds. Antonio Watson will sit this Olympics. Fans look forward to his return in Season 2025.

Stars and Competitors need to be cognizant of time, distance, and height associated with eligibility to participate in each event at the Olympics. Here are the Qualifying Standards by Event. Paris Olympics 2024 is ready to welcome all. Whether you are a Track and Field fanatic or not; Flights, Hotel, Events Tickets, Seats, and plans for post event activities are completed. All Athletes planning to participate at the Paris Olympics July 26 to August 11, 2024, are aware that Fans consider them capable to step on the podium. If you are not near your best Time, Distance, or Height in July, you will be challenged in the Paris Olympics.

Do not count your chickens before they are hatched. If it is not broken, don’t pretend to fix it. The triple double at Olympics 2024 was in trouble after the coaching debacle with Shanikie Osbourne. The Fat lady has sung and Elaine Thompson Herah has withdrawn from Jamaica National Trials.
If Elaine Thompson – Herah fails at the Jamaican National trials including not Registered, what’s the worst that could happen. The worst is ETH gets eliminated before the heats in Paris. One question that most Fans have of Elaine Thompson – Herah is why she waited so long to address the injury. Secondly, since she has not entered her name in 200m at the Jamaican trials, was it her intention not to run the Double in Paris. Ardent fans would not be interested in seeing her compete in just the 100m. The Shanikie Osborne debacle, the Athlete not addressing the ankle injury on time, and overall appearing not to be mentally prepared for the 2024 season could blemish the Star and her reputation.

Other than Julien Alfred, there is no female athlete training in Jamaica that can make the podium in Paris. That is a stark comment, but it reflects the result of Looming procrastination and slow times. The environment is rich for Julien Alfred. She could be a surprising recipient of Athletic accolades. However, I cannot imagine her running sub 10.7 for the 100m and sub 22.0 for the 200m but that is why they run the races.

Clearly something went wrong in preparation for 2024. Do you blame JAAA or JOA? Could it be that Athletes sat on their Laurels expecting the Big 3 to perform and to their surprise the big 3 is not clicking on any cylinder. So now what?
Team Jamaica did not appear excited to have a double Olympic champion with the Olympic Record of 10.61 in the 100m, vying for a third attempt at an unprecedented feat. Fans are concerned that Elaine Thompson – Herah is treated like a stone that the builder refused. However, the Athlete might have contributed to that negative reaction in the current circumstance.
The optics are not good. The IOC might feel slighted and could well be within their rights to express consideration of actions towards Elaine Thompson – Herah (ETH). Puma might consider disciplinary action. After all ETH is not just an Athlete, she is an Ambassador for the Sport. With all the hype and her failure to mount a credible defense of her titles, fans believe she should explain her behavior. Avid fans of the Sport of Track and Field are trying to rebuild. Athletes at the elite level should exhibit and demonstrate the utmost level of professionalism or declare in a timely manner their inability to perform.

(Photo by Tim Clayton/Corbis via Getty Images)
Such an eventuality will dampen the excitement of Olympics 2024. This will be tragic and fans of Elaine Thompson – Herah are bracing themselves for what could be the end of an era. Along with Shelley Ann Fraser Pryce planned departure and Shericka Jackson not looking fit, we could unexpectedly be preparing for a changing of the Track and Field guards.

Indications are that the 10.6x era will experience a setback. With the big 3 not performing well the women 100m final at Paris Olympics is unlikely to be faster than 10.70 seconds. That time will be consistent with procrastination in preparation and slow times. Could the increase in frequency of the World Championship be having a negative impact on the Olympics. Something to ponder. For Paris 2024, if the women 100m and 200m finals are slower than 10.65 seconds and 21.40 seconds respectively then fans will be disappointed. Too many World Championships could spoil the Olympics.
Meanwhile the Philippines is in great spirits and are ready to participate in Paris 2024 Fans anticipate the Philippines will get multiple medals including a gold by E J Obiena.

Survey indicates that the following Events will have BLUE RIBBON status in Paris: Women -100m, 100m Hurdles, 200m, 400m flat, and 400m hurdles. Men – 100m, 200m, 110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, and 400m flat. Beyond that all events will be typical Olympics competition.

If you are not near your best Time, Distance, or Height in June, you will be challenged in the Paris Olympics.

Women 200m event has become the Shericka Jackson Invitational. Gabby Thomas has significant work to do. Shacari Richardson is unlikely to contend for the gold medal in the 200m. Do not be surprised if Shericka Jackson is challenged. Hold on to your hat if you need it for Church Services. When Stars come around the bend at Paris 2024, remove or lose your hat.

Women 100m Hurdles will be the primary Blue-Ribbon event at Paris 2024. The competition will be fierce. The field will be talented. On any given day, any of the participants can win that event. The margin of error is low. Whoever clears the 3rd Hurdle first will have the best chance of winning the event.

Women 400m Flat will be competitive. MariLeidy Paulino appears to be ahead of the competition. The question now is can she run faster than 47.60 seconds and can she deal with the pressure. However, Nickisha Pryce is sending signals that she will be ready to perform. It will be interesting to witness performances and result. However, MariLeidy Paulino will be a Factor.

The triple double at Olympics 2024 is in jeopardy. Frankly, it was in trouble after the coaching debacle with Shanikie Osbourne. Regardless the Fat lady has not sung yet.
Time is not on the side of the sprint queen. With the Jamaican National trials about two weeks away, it is unlikely that the injury will be healed by then. There was looming procrastination in the off-season. Failure to succeed at the trials will have an impact on her ability to mount a credible defense of her Olympic titles. Such an eventuality will dampen the excitement of Olympics 2024. This will be tragic and fans of Elaine Thompson – Herah are bracing themselves for what could be the end of an era. Track and Field Season 2024 is the year of the presumptive Triple Double in Women 100m and 200m at the Olympics. Avid Track Fans believe 2024 is the only year in History for that spectacular occurrence. One exceptional Athlete is two thirds there. You might have the experience of seeing just that but you might not.
Elaine Thompson Herah performances in 2024 has been disappointing. Having said that ETH is still odds-on favorite to win the 100m in Paris. Mistakes happen and the Star is expected to be ready by the Jamaican National Trials. Pundits and Naysayers should relent with the negativity.
Regardless of rumors about Achilles heel problem, Elaine Thompson Herah (ETH) should return to Track shape. The Queen of Women Sprinting is moving forward with her preparation for Paris 2024. Some of this forecast is dreaming but Elaine Thompson Herah will be fine. She will acknowledge that she has an opportunity to accomplish something that has never been done and no chance of being repeated. She will have a chance to complete a Triple Double of the 100m and 200m at the Olympics. She will have an opportunity to add some granite to her already cemented Track and Field career. Her Legacy, despite a sub-par 2023 season will be forever known.

Gabby Thomas has significant work to do. Shacari Richardson is unlikely to contend for the gold medal in the 200m. When ETH is ready in 2024 the excitement level will rise in this event. Do not be surprised if Shericka Jackson is challenged. Hold on to your hat if you need it for Church Services. When these two Stars come around the bend at Paris 2024, remove or lose your hat.

Women 400m Flat will be competitive. MariLeidy Paulino appears to be ahead of the competition. The question now is can she run faster than 47.60 seconds and can she deal with the pressure. Having said that, I do not believe Sydney McLaughlin has any interest in challenging MariLeidy Paulino. However, Nickisha Pryce is sending signals that she will be ready to perform. It will be interesting to witness performances and result. However, MariLeidy Paulino will be a Factor.

However, she might not have time to meet Olympics qualifying standard. The Philippines Olympic Gold Medal drought is over. Moving Forward we anticipate competitive Performances in the Sea Games, Asian Games, and Olympics 2024.

Shericka Jackson has taken ownership of the Women 200m event. The event has become the Shericka Jackson Invitational. Gabby Thomas has significant work to do. Shacari Richardson is unlikely to contend for the Gold medal in the 200m. In 2024 Elaine Thompson – Herah (ETH) will raise the excitement level in this event. Do not be surprised if Shericka Jackson is challenged. There was an aura of frustration and tiredness by Shericka Jackson at the end of season 2023. Regardless when those two Stars come around the bend at Paris 2024, remove or lose your hat. The Tail Gate Partycontinues.

Elaine Thompson Herah (ETH) is returning to Track shape. The Queen of Women Sprinting is moving forward with her preparation for Paris 2024. The Cream always rises to the top.
MVP Track Club is not a need or of value in the way forward for Elaine Thompson Herah. Elaine Thompson Herah will be fine. In 2024, she will realize that she has an opportunity to accomplish something that has never been done and no chance of being repeated. She will have a chance to complete a Triple Double of the 100m and 200m at the Olympics. She will have an opportunity to add some granite to her already cemented Track and Field career. Her Legacy, despite a disappointing 2023 season will be forever known. Newcomers to the Sport will aspire to win doubles and not just a gold medal in an event. That mindset will add another level to Track and Field greatness.

Men 400m will be a thriller. Can Antonio Watson of Jamaica run a sub 44.00 seconds? Expectations are that multiple Jamaicans will deliver in this event, at Paris 2024. To that end they are ahead of schedule. Too bad Sean Bailey was not able to run a better race in Budapest. Antonio Watson ran the perfect race under the circumstances in Budapest. Filipino athleticism is more pronounced in Boxing, weightlifting, gymnastics, and swimming. Traditional Track and Field competition and performance could benefit from some improvement. Perhaps, Filipino Athletic Leadership should consider a Foreigner to participate in the Training of the Track and Field squad. Nothing-ventured nothing gain – what do you have to lose. A foreigner might be the catalyst needed to develop a new stock of Filipino Track and Field Athletes.
Now is the time to display a new caliber of Track and Field Athletes. Athletes who will do more than dominate the SEA Games but capable of competing at a high level in the Olympics and other International Track and Field competitions. Such attainment would bring attention to the Philippines Track and Field program now and beyond Olympics 2024.
Boxing, weightlifting, gymnastics, and swimming programs appear to be well on the way to producing Stars in the near future. While current Athletes in these disciplines are not yet Household names, avid Fans think that just like Hidilyn Diaz and EJ OBIENA, some will attain prominence soon.
